Jan 16/10 Indy relaxed on a nice sunny day
|
Indy is our 1998 dark bay 16hh Thoroughbred registered with the Jockey Club. She had an amazing racing career ahead of her but as luck would have it around 2002 she injured her front left knee and was sent to the broodmare band. She is not lame but her racing career ended with earnings of over $78,000.00. She had 12 starts with 7 firsts, 2 seconds and 1 third. With a race record like that she would have been a contender that's for sure! Many thanks to Cathy for allowing us to bring Intuitor to our farm. She got here safe and sound and many thanks to Brian Baldry of Fort St. John for transporting this wonderful mare to us! Indy has the most genuine, calm nature I've ever seen in a TB. She is kind, quiet and loves attention. She has excellent groundmanners and space respect. Indy has had 3 foals to date and her youngest (age 2) is just getting ready to enter the races. We'll try to keep track of how she does and post any results that we may find. She foals beautiful foals with wonderful dispositions and trainable attitudes. We just got word today (Jan 4, 2010) that her Jockey Club Papers have been located and we should see them very soon! This was great news for us as now we can proceed with our original plans for her and breed her to our Stallion, Leos Perfect Ghost, for a 2011 Registerable Appendix foal. With her perfect conformation, proven athleticism and superb disposition, we are anticipating a spectacular palomino or buckskin baby. It will be a long wait, but well worth it! Keep checking back for pictures and videos of Indy as the year progresses. |
